How did Germany change both economically and politically in the years following unification?
After Germany’s unification the nation had grown both economically and politically through their expansion of transportation to connect various
businesses throughout the country and having the development of new policies encompassing the entire Germany. Prussia now shared powers

between the States and national government; much like the United Sates has done. Men over the age of 25 were also able to vote and this led to other
achievements like the development of political parties. The citizens were now able to express their political views which could also lead to an increase in
nationalism. Economically Germany was able to grow because of France’s pay to Germany because of the damage they caused during the FrancoPrussian war. Rail roads were built and factories grew in numbers.
