A metal into a thin flexible thread or rod, this allows
electric current to pass from one point to another in a
circuit.
Symbol for wire: Straight line :
Connecting wires are wires that connect
different wires to different devices.
Symbol for connecting wire:
A wire that is not connected but they do cross
over with eachother
Symbol for unconnected wire:
A wire that branches off other wires to conect
to different things
Symbol for branched wire:
A machine powered by electricity that supplies
motor for a device such as a vehicle.
Symbol for motor:
A push button switch is a switch that allows
current to flow through only when it is pushed
down
Symbol for push button switch:
A single cell is often called a battery, but strictly
a battery is two or more cells joined together.
Symbol for cell:
A combination of two or more cells
Symbol for battery:
Restricts the flow of current, for example
to limit the current passing through an
LED.
Symbol for resistor:
Stores electric charge. A capacitor is used
with a resistor in a timing circuit
Symbol for capacitor:
A device that introduces inductance to a circuit
Symbol for inductor:
A device which only allows current to flow in
one direction.
Symbol for diodes:
A transducer which converts electrical
energy to light
Symbol for LED:
A transistor amplifies current. It can
be used with other components to
make an amplifier or switching circuit
Symbol for transistor:
Allows current to flow only when it
is in the closed (on) position.
Symbol for switch:
A device for giving off light consiting of an
electric bulb and its holder
Symbol for light:
The way current flows in a circuit
Symbol for direction current flow:
