MARKETING: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & BRANDING
CHAPTER TERMINOLOGY ASSIGNMENT
As we cover each marketing chapter, take good notes on the terminology within
the chapter. Then, show evidence that you understand the marketing terms by
completing one of the following terminology activities below. (You will be
assigned an activity for each chapter)
TERMINOLOGY ACTIVITIES:
1. Memorandum
Using a professional word “memorandum” template, create a scenario in which
you use 7 marketing terms from the chapter in context. Make sure that you
show full understanding of each term and that you relate the terms with one
another. (Use File New to find memo templates in Word)
2. Business Letter
Using a professional business letter format, create a scenario in which you use
7 marketing terms from the chapter in context. The business letter may be
about anything, but you must show full understating of each term and relate
the terms with one another.
3. Professional email
Send a professional email to your boss (“aka” Mrs. Peres) discussing a business
scenario that uses 7 marketing terms from the chapter in context. Your email
may be about any business-related topic as long as you show full understanding
of each term. Send your email to [email protected]. Make sure your
subject line reads: “Marketing I Terminology Email” and is sent from your Blue
Valley email account.
4. News Release
Select any company of your choice and create a fictional news release that
includes 7 marketing terms from the chapter in context. Have fun with this,
but make sure that you show full understanding of each term.
Make sure that your formatting for each type of Terminology Activity follows
appropriate business formatting. (make sure yours matches the samples provided)
