The Tata Hexa is a lifestyle vehicle from Tata Motors which was first showcased as a concept, at the
Geneva Motor Show 2015. Unveiled later as a production version at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016, Tata
Hexa will soon be available in showrooms across the country.
Developed by Tata Motors in collaboration with its technology partners, the much awaited Tata Hexa
is a power packed, feature loaded and adrenaline pumped vehicle designed for those with an active
and dynamic lifestyle. With Tata Motors emphasis on design and drivability, the Tata Hexa packs an
aggressive attitude and delivers absolute comfort, with a confident design. Tata Hexa comes with host
of connectivity and performance related features, enhancing the functionality
Exterior
The Tata Hexa is the second vehicle to sport the IMPACT
design language after Tiago
The Tata Hexa with its confidence stance, dual-colored
bumper, Tata signature grille, accentuated with a chrome
Humanity line, makes it truly aspirational. Stylish new
projector headlamps with smoked effect, beautifully
compliment the assertive front fascia, with striking Daytime
Running Lights (DRLs) seamlessly integrated with stylized
fog lamps.
Tata Hexa 19-inch alloy wheels are smartly nested in muscular wheel arch claddings, adding further
to exterior design. The dynamic floating roof and wraparound chrome feature line, with Hexa
embossing, gives it a contemporary SUV silhouette. Hexa dual tone rear bumper with chrome
accented step plates and chrome twin exhaust, gives it an impactful rear styling. The stylized
wraparound horizontal tail lamps, with first-in-India patented flexible LED technology, is connected by
a refined chrome applique.
Interior
Tata Hexa has an inviting, all black sporty interior, with superb
finishes, soft touch materials, textures and grains. Sculpted
seats with contrast stitching and accentuated bolsters with
Benecke-Kaliko™ leather feel upholstery, add to the finesse.
HEXA also comes with a choice of eight colours for in-cabin
ambient mood lighting, with illumination control and
customization. Thoughtfully designed intuitive utility spaces, can
be generously found in all three rows.
Dynamic Performance
The advanced next-gen 2.2L VARICOR 400 diesel engine,
delivers class leading 400 Nm torque and 156 PS power. Tata
Hexa is available in two gearbox configurations – a new 6speed automatic gearbox and a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Hexa manual transmission variant, boasts first-in-segment
‘SUPER DRIVE MODES’ allowing the driver to seamlessly
switch between the four different driving modes – Auto,
Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road, for enhanced ride comfort
& stability over different terrains. The All-Wheel Drive (AWD)
system is electronically controlled via an adaptive system by
Borg Warner™, with torque on demand feature.
The automatic version with a new-gen 6-speed automatic transmission has selectable modes: Sports
and Auto-sensing Race Car Performance, with manual shift option.
Next-gen Technology
Tata Hexa is equipped with new-gen CONNECTNEXT Infotainment system, with ergonomically
placed 5” touch screen, exclusively designed by HarmanTM, features voice recognition and smart
phone integration
Tata Hexa has10 JBL™ branded speaker system – 4
door speakers, 4 tweeters, a centre speakers, subwoofer and a power amplifier. Utilizing Harman’s
unique technology, the system ensures high fidelity
audio reproduction and harmonic richness, for a
theatre like experience. The Connectnext infotainment
system also comes with multiple intelligent features for
enhanced convenience such as playback via FM/AM,
USB, iPod, Aux, voice recognition, Bluetooth
telephony & audio streaming, navigation, on-screen
SMS display, SMS readout and rear view camera
display.
The ConnectNext App suite includes, NAVIMAPS App, Juke-Car App, Tata Smart Remote App and
Tata Smart Manual App.



NaviMaps App – 3D navigation app with offline maps through screen mirroring for smart
phones.
Juke-Car App – First-in-segment app utilizes a mobile hotspot, to make a common playlist.
Tata Smart Remote App – Personalize media, radio, audio and mood lighting settings
directly from the smartphone
Tata Hexa is loaded with a comprehensive Safety Suite
 6 Airbags –Dual Front, side and curtain airbags.
 Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) – ESP with roll-over mitigation for driving stability
and traction.
 ABS with EBD – ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution to optimize braking distance
and ensure vehicle stability.
 Hill Hold Control (HHC) & Hill Descent Control (HDC) – Hill Hold Control (HHC)
automatically activates, to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards on up-hill drives. Hill
Descent Control (HDC) controls descent on inclined surfaces.
 Traction Control System – Acts as a control system to prevent excessive wheel slip.
Absolute Comfort
Tata Hexa has an 8-way adjustable driver seat for a comfortable driving position using horizontal,
vertical, angular recline and lumbar controls. Flexi-seat configurations in the second row is available,
with an option for captain or bench seats. The second and third row seats are available with multiple
folding configurations, releasing 671* litres of space.
Tata Hexa Automatic climate control system with dual HVAC, maintains the in-cabin temperature, with
personalized air flow and speed control, through AC vents in each row, for maximum passenger
comfort regardless of the weather outside.
Cruise control is available at the touch of a button, while automatic headlamps switch on or off
automatically on sensing exterior conditions. Intelligent rain sensing wipers with 7 speed modes, can
handle rains of varying intensity.
Follow-me-home approach lights are switched on through the remote key, illuminate the pathway and
locate the vehicle in the dark. Tata Hexa also has electrically adjustable and foldable outer rear view
mirrors (ORVM) with demister.
The rear window sun blinds, help to shield passengers from sunrays. Smart USB charging points in
the second and third row, sense plugged in devices for fast charging.
Tata Hexa also features a reverse parking and guidance system, with rear-view camera and
ultrasonic sensors, with display on the infotainment screen. The vehicles advanced driver information
system (DIS) features a new-gen twin pod instrument cluster, with 3.5” TFT screen and multi-coloured
graphical user interface for easy viewing of vital vehicle information.
