Norfolk Island Open Pairs –ENTRY FORM
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:
Teams will be divided into sections. The number of sections will
be determined by entry numbers. (Hopefully 8 sections of 8 teams.
Saturday Practice roll-ups for all teams.Time limits apply
Saturday Official Welcome and Nibbles approximately 5 -5.30pm
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday am, qualifying rounds 9am,11.30am, 2.00pm
Wednesday pm – Round of 32 and round of 16 played.
Thursday 9am-11.30am.Quarter Finals, Semi Finals
Thursday 2.00pm Finals and play-off for 3rd 4th. Presentation Evening
The winner, runner-up, third and fourth placed teams from all eight sections will play the
round of 32, on a knockout basis, after sectional qualifiers have been seeded in the
following sequence.
Highest Overall Qualifier = 1
Next Highest Overall Qualifier = 2
Next Highest Overall Qualifier = 3 etc until Lowest Overall Qualifier = 32.
Then :
1 v 32
16 v 17
6 v 27
10 v23
4 v 29
13 v 20
7 v 26
11 v 22
And continue down until finals.
12 v 21
14 v 19
9 v 24
15 v 18
8 v 25
3 v 30
5 v 28
2 v 32
Losing semi finalists will play off for third place.
ANY ALTERATION TO THE PROGRAMME WILL BE THE DECISION OF THE
OVERSEAS COMMITTEE
Lunches are available at the club each day and we hope you support the club kitchen.
The kitchen is leased and the returns in the form of rent help the club.
THE ENTRY FEE WILL BE $100 PER PLAYER
(Includes Island Fish Fry Tuesday and the Presentation Dinner Thursday night)
