Course Overview:
Throughout the course of the year you will study ancient history from
prehistoric people all the way through the Middle Ages. You will
examine several ancient civilizations in order to gain a historical
perspective of the progress of mankind. As a result of your study you
will gain the ability to think critically and historically about the world
in which you live.

Expectations for Mr. Coffee
 Be fair to every student by treating all students equally
 Ensure that room 411 is a safe environment to learn by
eliminating all distractions
 Make sure that class time is used for instructional purposes

 Provide constructive feedback on assignments
 Communicate student progress with students and parents
 Be available to students for assistance

Your grade in world history will be a combination of the following:
 70% Assessment Grades:
o Tests, Quizzes, ORQs, Projects, Performance Events,
Presentations, Writing Assignments
 30% Daily Work:
o Daily work, Homework, Notebook Checks
