Economics Syllabus North Huron Schools 2016-2011 Mr. McIntosh Course Description: This course entails the study of Economics (local and national) as well as a significant amount of current events and their effects on our economy. The study will include lecture, daily assignments with questions and/or short essays, reports/projects, quizzes, tests, group work, and study island assignments. You will be expected to take extensive notes during each class. There will also be a trimester long stock market simulation project that will involve, research, record keeping, and a final presentation. Materials Needed: Notebook, Folder, pen or pencils. Expectations: Attend class. Be on time will ALL materials. Turn is assignments on time and neatly. Follow classroom and school rules and policies that are found in the student handbook. Grading: Homework: Quizzes: Study Island Tests/Papers Final Exam 10-20 pts 10 pts each / 30 – 40 pts. per chapter 10 pts each 50 pts 20% of final grade *Late work will be accepted for half credit only.
