Planning a C. L. lesson
Area of expertise: Italian grammar
School Year: 2010-2011. Fourth class.
Description of lesson:
Identification of the main elements in a sentence (subject, predicate, expansions).
AIMS
Cognitive:
Recognize the subject in a sentence. Differing from the predicate nominative predicate
verbal. Recognizing the additional direct and indirect and reflect on their function.
Social:
Interact positively with others (respect others, wait your turn, express their opinion).
Contribute to a common goal.
Material:
photocopies of sentences, to fill cards, crayons, pens, pencils.
Organization of groups:
4 groups of 5 students.
Organization of group instruction
Each student is assigned a series of sentences to be analyzed and a form to fill.
Each student must identify and highlight an element of the sentence (subject, predicate
nominative, predicate, verbal, direct expansion, expansions indirect).
Students play a game to match a color to use and the element of the sentence to each
group member.
Work assignment
Each member of the group stresses in the sentences the assigned element and records
in the table only the part that concerns him.
In turn, each member will read his work to other pupils, which, if approved, fill out their own
table with the missing elements. Finally, the reader will read the work of the group to other
groups for comparison.
