CALLING ALL EDUCATORS
Encouraging students in the United States to engage with genocide as a pressing global issue is crucial to the
success of One Million Bones. We are asking teachers and students to bring this initiative into their
classrooms and to become participants in this important event.
One Million Bones allows teachers to create curricula that encourages analysis and synthesis as well as the
creative consideration of global issues. Regardless of the subject taught, we are convinced that One Million
Bones can assist with student engagement and skill acquisition at all educational levels. Because the context
of One Million Bones involves many global issues (e.g., human rights, world history, geography, poverty,
racism), and because the construction of bones stimulates imagination, we believe that teachers and students
will enjoy participating in this initiative.
