Using prior knowledge about geography, student groups will brainstorm and fill in a T-Chart
with ideas about geography and use these ideas to create a definition of geography, which they
will write on the T-Chart.
Using the group definition, students will create a poster on construction paper with the
definition of geography and draw 5 symbols ( illustrations) that represent geography.

Topic: Creating Vocabulary Cards
Objective: Using definitions of 11 vocabulary words, I will create a
vocabulary card for each of the 11 voc. words, which will include the word,
an illustration and the definition.
Directions: Complete 11 vocabulary cards for each the 11 vocabulary words
that you wrote in your journal on Wednesday.
