• TYPES of Communication:
There are two different types of
communication
Verbal communication
Talking, asking questions, listening,
responding
Non-verbal communication
Body language, gestures, listening
Verbal
communication
Verbal communication is speaking.
We would use it in face to face and
telephone conversations. Often we
change the tone, pitch, pace and
volume of the words we say
depending on the message we are
trying to get across.
Non-Verbal communication
Non verbal communication is all about sending signals or
making gestures, and includes facial expression and body
language.
Body language/ Gestures/ Listening
ACTIVE Listening
For example, a coach on the touchline may send
instructions to players by using gestures or signals.
Why/ How/ Where/ What/ When
If you are writing to a potential employer,
formal style. This

as necessary in this situation.

DELIVERY
Communication is your responsibility and the response
you receive, depends on the quality of communication
you present.
