McCarthyism was the irrational fear of
communism which many capitalist
countries in the world experienced.
 The term is coined after U.S. Senator
Joseph McCarthy from Wisconsin
 It is particularly associated with the united
states during the “Red Scare” era

Propaganda
Propaganda was a tool used by the
government to scare its citizens into
fearing Communism.
 It was also used during WWII to support
anti-Nazism.

