Transcript
Types of energy: solar energy, heat energy, gravitational energy,
kinetic energy, and chemical energy.
Solar energy: radiant energy that travels from the sun to earth
Heat energy: energy that comes from the random motion of atoms
and molecules in any substance.
Gravitational energy: the potential energy an object has because of
how far away it is from the ground.
Kinetic energy: the energy of motion.
Chemical energy: the energy stored in electrical bonds that holds atoms
and molecules together.
This is the sun. it is the main source of energy for earth. The
suns energy is called solar energy, solar means “of the sun”.
The fire on this candle has heat energy. It has heat energy
because it has a fire on the top of it. Heat is energy that
makes warmth you feel.
This is a picture of someone walking, he has
kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy of
motion.
This car has chemical energy, it has chemical energy
because it has fuel. chemical energy is the energy
stored in any fuel.
This is the beatles, they are playing music, music has
sound energy. Sound energy is a vibration that goes
through the air or any other medium.
This man has potential energy, he has potential energy
because he is about to fall off a cliff, once he falls though he
will have kinetic energy. Potential energy is the energy in
any object that is about to fall, or high up.
This is lightning, lightning has electrical energy because it is just very powerful
electricity going through the air. Electrical energy is an electric current running
through solids, liquids or gases.
This is a nuclear power plant. It converts energy to nuclear
energy. Nuclear energy is energy that has POWER.
Mechanical Energy
Mechanical energy is every kind of energy. Neg has
mechanical energy while he playing the urban sport, “big
stranger rodeo.” He also has mechanical energy, because he is
thinking about being in an actual rodeo.
Physical Energy
Physical energy is energy that you can see. Neg has physical
energy when he is running away from the angry mall cop.
