Articles = Adjectives Articles: a - refers to any noun – Example: Please hand me a cup of flour. an – refers to any noun that begins with a vowel – Example: Please hand me an egg. the – refers to a specific noun – Example: Please hand me the cup of flour and the egg. Proper Adjectives An adjective that is formed from a proper noun. Proper adjectives, like proper nouns, are capitalized. Proper adjectives, like proper nouns, are specific.
