What Determines Protein Conformation?

Protein conformation

A proteins three-dimensional shape is a
consequence of the interactions
responsible for the secondary and tertiary
structures.

This conformation is influenced by
physical & chemical environmental
conditions.

If a protein’s environment is changed, it
may become denatured and lose its
conformation.
