The People in The Sahel
 The 2 tribes of the Sahel are the Fulani
and the Dogon. The Fulani have a
religion called Palaaku where they mix in
there love of cattle , reserve, and
stoicism for instance when they get
married the brides dad gives the groom a
cow. The Dogon have male societies
when a boy turns 12 he is eligible enough
to dance Dama.

What They Eat

They eat groundnut stew with chicken
made with herbs, vegetables, and spices
.they make it by blending it at high speed
to grind the vegetables.

Giraffe: reaches heights of 18 feet, known to
Romans as the spotted camel, one of the most
frequent browsers of the Sahel
Zebu: mostly used for milk, introduced from India
and other countries
Warthog: migrates with the season, male tusks
are up to 23 inches long
Senegal gerbil: most common mammals can grow
from 4-6 inches long

