Roots and Stem
• Roots grow down to
get water and minerals
from the soil. They
hold the plant in place.
• The stem grows up to
make branches and
leaves.
Leaves and Flowers
• Leaves use the sun to
make food.
Many plants make
flowers.
Pollination
• A powder which
makes seeds is inside
the flower.
• Bees move the powder
from one flower to
the next.
New Seeds
• New seeds get back
into the ground by
wind, water and
animals.
• Then the cycle starts
again.
