Plants Study Guide
Facts:
 Plants need water, air (carbon dioxide), and soil to grow.
 The plant parts are: roots, stem, leaves, and fruit.
 Plants give us food and oxygen.
 Plants prevent erosion.
 Pollination happens when an animal or the wind moves
pollen from the stamen to the pistil.
 After pollination, the seed forms in the ovary, the petals fall
off the flower, and fruit grows around the seeds.
 Germination is the term for when a seed starts to grow.
 Be able to draw and label the plant life cycle.
