



Bengal Bamboo
Bengal Bamboo can grow between 40 and
80 feet tall.
 It grows very tall, fast so it gets lots of rain
and sunlight.
 The long and narrow leaves grow on
opposite sides of the plant in two columns.
 In two to three months it’s full grown.
 It’s life span is 25 to 40 years.

Bougainvillea
It can reach up to 30 feet.
 It has many hooks so it can cling and hold
on to other plants for support.
 It can either be vines, trees, or shrubs.
 Insects, caterpillars, and aphids eat it.
 It provides shelter for animals on the
rainforest floor.
 The plants flowers can either be pink, red,
orange, white, or yellow.

Coconut Tree







It can grow between 50 and 80 feet tall.
It’s leaves are yellow green.
One tree can produce up to 50 coconuts.
The trunks are used to stabilize buildings.
The leaves are used to make mats, baskets, and
hats.
It can live in very wet or dry areas.
When it decays, insects swarm the tree and eat
it.
