Ecosystems Ecology –Study of the interactions that occur between organisms and their environments. Ecosystems Ecologist –Scientist who studies ecology. Populations Population –All the organisms in an ecosystem that belong to the same species. Populations Community –All the populations living in the same ecosystem. Habitat Habitat –The place in which an organism lives.
