 Bell Ringer: How are people best represented in
government? What does democracy mean to you?
 Objectives:
 Describe how Ancient Greece contributed to
modern forms of society and government
 Describe the ways in which acceptable and
unacceptable behavior was enforced.
 Homework: Rate Me Bar Graph (separate paper)

Housekeeping
 Plan on staying after school on Tuesdays 2:30-3:30 if
you are currently failing so that you may get caught
up or retest. This week’s tutorial will be set up for
Thursday.
 Don’t forget to sign up prior to coming so copies can
be made beforehand. Sign up list is located in black
binder on bookshelf next to handout tray.

 Direct Democracy – the type of governing
system where all people vote directly on an
issue.

Representative Democracy
 Representative Democracy – a form of
government in which officials are elected to

then vote on issue.
