Possible applications
You can easily create an Internet-sharing network for several users without having to install any other software or make any complicated adjustments.
A standard built-in PAT,NAT Firewall protects you against external users who want to sniff around inside your PC.
Note: Installing a Firewall software is recommended.

To configure the router, the PC requires a few basic settings, which you can make as follows:
Right-click on Network Environment and click on Properties’. The ‘Network configuration screen’ will appear. If you have a modem in your computer,
the screen will also show TCP/IP in front of the dialling adapter, as well as a NetBEUI.

Now connect your broadband router to the computer with a straight cable to the network card.
Go the Start menu and select ‘Run’, enter the command’winipcfg’ (without quotation marks) and under adapter information, select the network card
that you have.

The IP configuration address is in xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, now click Clear All and the IP configuration address will change to 0.0.0.0

Quick Configuration installation for Windows 2000 XP
To configure the router, the PC requires a few basic settings, which you can make as follows:
Right-click on Network Environment and click on Properties’. The ‘Network configuration screen’ will appear.
Select the option Internet protocol (TCP/IP) and click on OK.
Now click Refresh All.
The Router will assign the IP-address.
Select the option Automatic to obtain an IP address and click OK.
This completes the basic settings for Windows 95, 98 and ME. To connect to the Internet go to the Router Configuration chapter further on in this
manual. The attached CD-Rom provides further information concerning router applications.
Do not enter any of the commands with inverted commas!!
Now go to the start menu then to ‘Run’ and tick-mark CMD and press Enter. Enter the command Ipconfig and press Enter.
Now give the command Ipconfig /release’and press ‘Enter.

The IP address will now be replaced. You will see that the IP address is now 0.0.0.0. Now enter the command Ipconfig /renew and press Enter.

ATTENTION!!
When you execute the following, all the data that you have entered in the router get deleted and it means that you have to enter the login name,
password, MAC address and IP addresses.
To reset the router fully, keep the reset button pressed down with a pencil for four seconds. The LAN LED’s 1 to 4 shall light-up once, simultaneously,
to indicate that resetting has been completed. The settings of the router will now have been reset to the ‘factory default’ settings.
The router will now assign a new IP address.
If you press the reset button once, the router will be reset in the normal manner and the entered data will generally not be deleted.

Router Configuration
You can connect to the Internet after completing the network configuration of your computer.
Start your browser, enter the following address in the URL bar: http://192.168.2.1
Now press Enter.
Here fill-in the time zone, and if you want you may enter the summertime and wintertime information.
Click on Next to start the procedure.
Click Login without entering anything in the field.

Your ISP will automatically give you an IP address
You have received a fixed IP address from your ISP.
Your ISP is working via a Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connection.

Select the type of connection, for example we may try to make a PPPoE connection.
