Athenian Democracy Skit! With your group you will create a series of 3 short skits: Scene 1: The Assembly (debate and vote) Scene 2: Council of 500 (lottery and meeting agenda) Scene 3: Athenian Court (jury trial) Your skits MUST: Be roughly 6-9 minutes long (2-3 minutes per scene) Accurately show how each of the pillars allowed Athenians to participate in democracy. Include all members of your group Have a script (so everyone knows what to do/say) Be rehearsed (look up from your script, face the audience, speak loud and clear, act out scenes, create or bring props) Be performed for the class *Use your notes and textbook to find information You will write your script in a Google Doc that is shared with each group member. When you are finished, you will print a copy for each person.
