INTERNSHIPS Detection of User Patterns from Device Log, Samsung R&D Institute Noida (May, 2015 - July, 2015) : Designed and implemented an adaptive machine learning algorithm to extract user patterns from the device log. Created codecs to overcome bugs; Designed an error catching mechanism to ensure smooth working. Further modified the algorithm to extract weekly patterns; For testing purposes, simulated the entire Device Log. Simplify - Qlikview based Windows Application, Crosslink (May, 2014 - July, 2014) : Designed the entire backend of Simplify which helps users to create custom reports(in pdf, ppt, xls) from Qlikview. Implemented QlikviewAPI in VBscript; Innovated to create new routines as online documentation was insufficient. Handwriting Recognition, 11 Tech Square Pvt Ltd (May, 2013 - July, 2013) : Increased the size of the MNIST data set using Affine and Elastic transformations on the handwritten image. Extracted features from images; Increased the average match accuracy on SVM from 99.48% to 99.75% PROJECTS Structured Sharing of Resources in a Device to Device Network(Intel USA) (July, 2015 - Present) : BTP Thesis Developing a UDP based implementation of TCP proximity, to meet the challenges offered by TCP in Wifi networks Devising algorithms to map applications to their optimal Internet connection in D2D networks based on required Qos Designing a protocol for offloading compute intensive task to servers thus reducing power usage in Android devices 3D Dirt Bike Racing Game (Aug, 2013 - Sept, 2013) : Prof Subodh Kumar Built a single player, finite time 3D dirt bike racing game with collision detection, shadows, glow and explosions. Used OpenGL for terrain-texture rendering and 3D obj creation, C++ for physics engine and QT for user interface Social Network Simulation (Sept, 2013 - Oct, 2013) : Prof Subodh Kumar Implemented a simulation of social networking activities among student and faculty covering multiple universities Wrote a Perl script to answer natural language queries related to the graph shortest path, no of cliques etc. Quoridor N-M-K (Mar, 2015 - Apr, 2015) : Prof Mausam Designed and built an adaptive AI player for generic two player, finite time Quoridor N-M-K game tournament. Engineered a hybrid of Mini-Max & depth limited adversial search algorithms with various heuristic optimizations. Spam Classification (Feb, 2015 - Mar, 2015) : Prof Parag Singla Extracted discriminative features from Emails; Built a spam classifier using linear and gaussian kernels in SVM Solved the SVM optimization problem using a convex optimization package(CVX) as well as by libSVM. Carpooling Website (Feb, 2015 - Present) : Independent Developed an online cab sharing platform which helps users to share and find cab rides as per their requirements. Website is built using Bootstrap, Javascript, PHP and MySQL. It's live at: http://sustainable.iitd.ac.in/carpool/ Shooting Game for Visually Impaired (Dec, 2014 - Jan, 2015) : Independent Developed a shooting game in which player has to shoot and identify the targets based on the sound they make. Used Pyttsx(text to speech) to interact with the player, Pygame for rendering and Python for physics engine.
