Vaccine Clinic Treatment Guide
CATS
FVRCP (feline distemper):
This vaccine helps to protect your cat
from several highly contagious and sometimes fatal viruses. Included
in this vaccine are Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper), Feline Viral
Rhinotracheitis, and Calici Virus.
Rabies:
Rabies vaccine is required by law. The disease itself attacks
the brain and central nervous system and is almost always fatal.
Rabies can be transmitted to people and other animals through the
bite or scratch of an infected animal.
Feline Leukemia (FeLV):
This virus is one of the most dangerous
infectious diseases in cats. It weakens the immune system, impairing
a cat's ability to fight infections.
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV): FIV is an infection that
suppresses the cat's immune system. It is a very serious disease with
no cure.
Drontal:
Drontal is a broad-spectrum dewormer.
Combo Test:
This blood test will let you know if your cat has Feline
Leukemia (FeLV) or Feline Aids (FIV).
