EVD-R Capacitive Voltage Indicator Technical Catalogue EVD-R Description EVD-R capacitive voltage indicators are used for detecting potential on bus bars off medium-voltage cubicles. Applications EVD-R capacitive voltage indicators are used in modular medium voltage cubicles and panels. Features Wide operation range (1kV-52kV) Separate led display for three phase Test point (Three phase - ground) Compatible with IEC 61243-5 standards Power Alert Relay Operating Principles and Techical Specifications EVD-R capacitive voltage indicators work together with capacitive dividers in medium voltage cubicles. The potential indicating leds are separate for each phase and designed compatible with the IEC-61243-5 standards. According to this: U > %45 Un there is potential in the bus bar and the leds are flashing. U < %10 Un there is no potential in the bus bar and the leds are not flashing. In order to work in accordance with the applied standards the applied voltage and capacitance value of capacitive voltage divider insulators must be specified in the order. Test points are available for each phase and the ground on the front panel. The power alert contacts on EVD-R are closed if there is power at least in one of the phases. If power is not available in any of the phases, contacts are in open position. The installation and commissioning must be done by qualified electrical staff. 2. Do not work with live conductors. 3. Do not use the module in external, humid and wet environment. 4. It is recommended to use coaxial cable with the device. Installation and Operation Front View 1.Open a cross section with size shown in the figure for assembling the device. 2.The device is inserted to the panel from front side and tightened via the fixing apparatus. 3.The device connections are done to the terminals located at rear according to given sequence. 4.When the bus bar is powered the leds on the front side will flash.
