They can be used in almost any position and push or pull actuation is possible. Their use is, however, limited to axial movements as lateral loads lead to increased bearing wear. Further information on the use of electromagnetic devices can be obtained from the Data Sheet “Technical Background”. CE marks on solenoids and electronic components Electromagnets, electromagnetic devices Information on their working life and switching frequency can be obtained from the manufacturer. The electromagnetic products of Kendrion Magnettechnik are components for incorporation and operation in electrical equipment and devices. They therefore do not fall within the remit of the Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC. The application of an electromagnetic force brings about a linear movement from the initial position to the end position. The return movement is achieved by a return spring or a permanent magnet. The devices are not fitted with a plunger stop as standard. However, the components comply with various standards for incorporation and operation in devices covered by the Low Voltage Directive, in particular DIN VDE 0580 / 07.2000. The corresponding data is given on the data sheets for the individual components. Modifications on request. According to this directive, such products incorporated in a machine may not be operated until the machine’s conformity with the EC directive has been established. A manufacturer’s declaration, which is not automatically supplied with the product, can be obtained on request. The user must ensure conformity with the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC by using suitable switching devices or controls. When using the recommended electronic switching devices and controls from Kendrion Magnettechnik, conformity with the EMC Directive is stated on the appropriate data sheets. After the response phase the integral permanent magnets hold the plunger in the end position with a specific holding force in the unergenised state. The electromagnetic force is used essentially for the linear movement and the permanent magnetic force to hold the plunger in the end position without the use of electrical energy. The return movement (overcoming the force of the permanent magnets) is triggered by a reversed, possibly lower, voltage impulse depending on the magnitude of an external return force. The integral return spring moves the plunger back to the start position. The customer can fix the solenoid can be fixed in position by attachment screw on the external diameter. Parts at risk of corrosion are electro-galvanised to EN 12329. The plunger is electro-plated with nickel to EN ISO 4526. The holding forces of the permanent magnets in the de-energised state are also reached at the operating temperature. Typical starting current: 0.3 A Minimum release current: 0.2 A Maximum release current: 0.4 A Note: No characteristic curve is given for this type. This bistable direct current linear solenoid has very limited force and is switched backwards and forwards between the two end positions. www.kendrionmt.com direct current single direction linear solenoids gleichstrom - einfachhubmagnete Dimensions Type 4000118AE29 Solenoid in the energised state Solenoid in the unenergised state Marking Options Please enquire by contacting: [email protected] Phone: +43 (0) 34 66 42 3 22 21 Fax: +43 (0) 34 66 42 7 32 or your local partner Stroke 8mm Direct current single direction linear solenoids The 400118AE29 direct current single direction linear solenoid is an open construction solenoid with a plunger and a punched C frame.
