NOVATO CHASE TREE LIST EVERGREENS Gold Medallion Tree (cassia leptophylla) Type: Evergreen Size: 20-25 feet tall Foliage: Shapely, bushy spreading crown. Frong-like medium green compound leaves (12 pairs of leaflets on each frong-like leaf) Flowers: Showy yellow flowers bloom in summer Drought Tolerant: Yes, after consistent first year watering Root System: Non-invasive Negatives: 1) Large pods drop on ground in mature trees; 2) Some pruning needed to maintain pleasing shape Little Gem Southern Magnolia (magnolia grandiflora) Type: Evergreen Size: 25 feet tall, 20 feet wide Foliage: Grows in upward pyramidal shape, not wide-canopy. Medium size glossy dark green leaves.
