Paphiopedilum sanderianum Native of: Sarawak Habitat: Lithophyte growing on North or North East facing limestone cliffs from sea level up to 900m altitude. Description: This is a large growing Paph with leaves up to 45cm long and flower stems carrying up to five flowers opening together. The flowers are 7cm across with very long twisted petals up to 95cm long. Cultivation Guidance: At school we grow this species hot (min.180C) through out the year in medium light. Flowering season: Variable Flask to flowering approx: 6yrs. Seedling source: Bob Dadd
