Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other garden plants with finer foliage. This is a relatively low maintenance perennial, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. Deer don't particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. It has no significant negative characteristics. Sundowner New Zealand Flax is recommended for the following landscape applications; - General Garden Use - Accent - Mass Planting - Container Planting Plant Characteristics: Sundowner New Zealand Flax will grow to be about 8 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 5 feet. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years. This plant can be propagated by division. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid. This plant is not reliably hardy in our region, and certain restrictions may apply; contact the store for more information.
