Vacature: Database Administrator (SQL)
Olifant is voor een aansprekende opdrachtgever op zoek naar een Database Administrator.
Your main tasks consist:
• Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools.
• Modifying the database structure (OLTP and OLAP) as necessary, from information given
by application developers – forming a key bridge between Development and IS
Operations in this respect.
• Maintaining database security.
• Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement.
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database.
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database (SQL Analysis Services).
• Planning for backup and recovery of database information.
• Maintaining archived data.
• Backing up and restoring databases.
• Contacting database vendor for technical support.
• Generating various reports by querying from database as per need. (SQL Reporting
Services).
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database
system.
Functie voorwaarden
The Database Administrator (SQL) we are looking for, recognize himself in the following
requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business
Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred.
• 2 -3 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories,
principles, and practices.
• 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience SQL Server 2012 and 2008 - Database
Administration - Database Tuning - Database Management Database Security - Transact SQL T-SQL - MCSA SQL Server 2012
• Knowledge of Oracle would also be beneficial.
• Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques.
