You need to find the design repeat down the length of the fabric measure it along the selvedge (NOT across the fabric) The repeat is usually from 8” to 28” (NOTE: If the repeat is under 10”, buy 2 x the repeat requirements) Example: from fabric with a 12” repeat you would need 6 lots of 12” which is 72”, so buy 2 metres. From the 2 metres with the 12” repeat you will get 24 hexagons bold fabric with varied colours in its background gives a great variety of kaleidoscopes 6 repeats for hexagon kaleidoscopes Fabrics that work well … large florals tropical prints animal prints bold geometrics children’s prints Bring to Class Rotary cutter and mat and ruler 60˚ Triangle ruler if you have one (SO much easier than using the 60˚ lines!)
