Movies in the Square Begins Thursday!
Summer will officially arrive in Downtown Kingston! this Thursday evening with the premiere of the 2016
Movies in the Square season!
To celebrate its 10th year, Movies in the Square is bringing back four fan favourites (Big Fish, Finding Nemo,
The Wizard of Oz and Hook) in addition to an exciting line up of films that haven’t yet been shown in the
Square! The program is great for a fun family night, a delightful outing with friends, or a unique romantic date.
The best part is it’s free for all to enjoy!
The whimsical Tim Burton movie, Big Fish, will kick things off this Thursday at dusk (approximately 9:00pm)
in Springer Market Square. The films will be projected on the inflatable screen parallel to Market Street in the
Square. Movie-goers are encouraged to come early and bring a lawn chair. Popcorn and other treats will be
available for sale. “Seat positioning” is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Low back lawn chairs are encouraged.
