Must be based off an Aesop’s Fable. http://www.taleswithmorals.com/\
Use some choral and narrator work in it.
Use some Group Machine type movement piece in it.
Be in the time limit of 4:30 to 6 minutes.
Every actor in the piece must play a character.
Every actor is allowed one costume piece.
5 props allowed at the most. One must a transformation prop.
3 chairs or cubes allowed at the most.
All props and costumes will be stored in a tube.
Will do 2 previews. One will be afterschool. Date TBA
One time afterschool will be given for two people from group to visit costume
stock and pull items.
All props must be found or created by the group. Stock SOA Theatre Props
are not available but supplies and shop time are available in the Scene Shop
afterschool.
Have the piece work in such a way that your group’s entrance into the playing
space is part of the performance.
Will perform this piece during Playfest.
No program required.
This piece should be able to go into an Elementary School Class Room and
work.
This piece might come back next year, per Link/Catangay, to be seen and
performed again.
Mr. Younts is overseeing this project all questions/concerns to him.
