Visa Application Centre opens in Kosovo —Prishtina to
facilitate application for Schengen Visa to
Norway/Denmark/Lithuania and Iceland
Norway`s new Visa Application Centre opens 22nd May 2017. The Norwegian Embassy will not
receive bookings of visa application appointments for June and onwards. These will be handled
by the Centre.

Celebrating shared European values on Europe Day
The Ambassador took part in the celebration of Europe Day in Prizren. During his Speech, the
Ambassador underlined that shared European values should never be taken for granted.

Digital North: Leading the way for a digitally integrated
Europe
Integration of digital technologies into everyday life could support Kosovo and Albania to
integrate into the European and global market, promote competitiveness and facilitate
transnational exchange of digital services in the public sector.

The Norwegian Government intends to increase project
support to Western Balkans to strengthen rule of law, civil
society and sustainable economic development.
Strengthening rule of law, cooperation and reconciliation, development of sustainable economies
and strengthening of civil society will be prioritized areas for Norwegian aid in the upcoming
years.

Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj visits Norway
Foreign Minister of Norway Børge Brende and Foreign Minister of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj met
18 April in Oslo to discuss political situation in Western Balkans and enhanced bilateral
cooperation.

March 6th the Norwegian Ambassador, Mr. Per Strand Sjaastad, took part in the outreach
campaign on Mediation as part of efforts to strengthen the rule of law in Kosovo.
