INNOVATION CLUSTER RENEWABLE ENERGY AND CLIMATE CHANGES SHORT CONCEPT NOTE OUR SERVICES RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY BOOST Global Innovation supports a range of stakeholders in this ever-growing field, whose importance, complexity and scope expand almost on daily basis. Our consultants have helped SMEs, investors, governments, universities and other energy stakeholders to learn about upcoming demands and adjust their strategies to meet near- and long-term objectives for renewable energy and energy efficiency. It goes through entire value chain, from strategic level, over planning, implementation, and operation to asset management. Our particular focus is on innovation with our leading technology sourcing partners, like NCE Smart Energy Markets and Gjovik University College, where we conduct research, model openings, reveal innovation prospects, and design new green energy/industry innovations. Our currently running HERD financed project NORMAK enables study programme and technology transfer from Norway to universities in Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. With Sintef (the largest R&D institution in Norway) we jointly prepare the plans for a Centre of Clean Energy and Climate Expertise in Tunisia in cooperation with local partners to facilitate cost-efficient cooperation and technology transfer from Norway to Tunisia. Since 2013 we are engaged in the Green Industry Innovation Program within the EEA & Norway Grants program in Romania. We provide consulting services in bioenergy, waste management and recycling, green data centres, and clean water. CLIMATE CHANGES Dares and chances related to changing climate and evolving energy realities are habitually interlinked. Modifying business practices to snatch opportunities resulting from climate changes also make the same businesses less susceptible to long term climate swings. We also work with our public-sector clients, such as Environmental Protection Agency, to provide answers that amplify the usefulness of information management efforts. Our partners have broadspectrum expertise in key fields related to climate science, such as air quality modeling, toxicology, chemistry, microbiology and chemical engineering. We outclass at delivering solutions that amalgamate science and IT to help customers understand, mitigate and adapt to the impact of climate change. BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION Establish or strengthen Innovation Cluster based on renewable energy to encourage the innovative activity through the promotion of the common use of equipment and specialized knowledge and through effective contributions towards knowledge transfer, contact setting, information dissemination and collaboration between enterprises and the other organizations within the cluster. GOAL AT THIS STAGE Analyze, discuss and find partners for strengthening or establishing an innovation cluster on renewable energy. OUR NETWORK AND SOME RELEVANT REFERENCES Athene’s “Energy, Climate & Green Industry" network in Norway covers a broad range of prominent companies, organizations and associations in sectors of energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, waste treatment, bioenergy and so on. We have a network of over 100 potential clients that might strive toward foreign markets. BGI has over the last two years built up a National Network of Climate Expertise TM in Norway ready to join, invest and share knowledge abroad. Knowing Norwegian key players well, we are able to perform thorough market and technology search analyses among them, identifying good matches whether your organization needs a new technology, an R&D or outsourcing production partner, or joint venture to go to foreign markets. FINANCING OPPORTUNITIES BGI can help you to identify and establish the right financing scheme for the project, whether it is comes from non-reimbursable grants, banks and other lending institutions, public or private investments funds or combination of those sources. Based on anticipated project cash flows and risks, we can involve Norwegian matching partners or other project equity.
