6.6.1 DC Cabling termination
The cables from the PV array must be fitted with the supplied MC4 connectors.
Using a multi-meter check the polarity of the PV cabling and label the Positive and negative cable.
Follow the instructions below on how to terminate MC4 connectors:
 MC4 connectors are most suitable for 4 & 6 mm² wire.
 Strip 7mm of the wire insulation.
 Insert the bare copper wire into the crimping area of the MC4 pin and crimp by using the
correct crimping tool.
 Insert the crimped pin/wire through the cable gland nut and compression ring into MC4
connector. The pin will lock into the housing. Tighten the cable gland nut firmly

GENERAL WIRING INFORMATION
6.7
Connecting the PV array to the inverter
Ensure that the PV Array open circuit voltage does not exceed the maximum rated input voltage of
the inverter.
Turn the inverter DC disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Switch off all the AC circuit breakers connected to the output of the inverter.
Using a multi-meter, switched to DC, measure the DC voltage supplied from the PV array.
Ensure that the PV array voltage is within the specified range.
Remove the sealing caps from the inverter solar input connectors.
Connect the PV string MC4 connectors to the corresponding inputs on the inverter.
