INTRODUCTION
An over retained deciduous canine is a
fairly common phenomenon. It causes
crowding in the remaining teeth.
Here I would like to show a case of an
over retained lower left deciduous
canine.
An over retained lower
left deciduous canine .
The permanent canine
has tilted lingually.
Patient was complaining of tongue
irritation and compromised aesthetics .
This will also cause
periodontal problems
over period of time.
The over retained canine has caused
crowding in lower anteriors.
CONCLUSION
Any over retained deciduous tooth can cause
a life time of periodontal problems and also it
affects the esthetics.
Dentists must advise their child patients to get
teeth checked once in an year for any incipient
orthodontic problems.
