1. IntelligeneDx is a CLIA certified Oncogenomics Laboratory located in the Kansas
Bioscience Park in Olathe, Kansas.
2. Technology Platform: Illumina, which has a Q30 score for accuracy that is top in the
industry (Error rate: 1/1000).
3. CompleteRisk – the most comprehensive test for identifying hereditary cancers – a
total of 94 genes.
4. TAT: 2-3 weeks with a team in place to manage communication between the lab and
customers.
5. Clear communication plan with patients to discuss financial obligations. We have a
patient-friendly billing policy (included in packet). All patients should receive
guidance on billing at the point of care. In addition, commercially insured patients
will be contacted to discuss any out of pocket responsibilities prior to testing the
sample.
6. All variants found in the genes tested are uploaded to an international database and
every 3 months are checked to verify if there is any change in its status. We
recommend the patient to contact IntelligeneDx once a year to verify if there is any
reclassification of the variant found in his/her analysis.
7. Genetic Counselor on site and remote; Immediate access to Onco-geneticists for
peer-to-peer discussion.
8. Customized Onco-geneticist overlay accompanies each test report, there are
guideline-based recommendations noted for any positive mutations.
9. Sample collection options are saliva, blood or mouthwash.
10. Screening Questionnaire and Physician Checklist provided to identify high-risk
patients who need diagnostic testing for hereditary cancer syndromes.
Our goal is to offer affordable testing for your patients to identify those with a high
risk for developing a hereditary cancer syndrome. It is not to replace anything you are
currently doing to screen for cancer but only to enhance their preventative treatment
plan.
