TAGMail 21 December 2016
The purpose of TAGMail is to assist TAG members identify and share relevant information for their
professional practice. Members are encouraged to routinely forward TAGMail to others who they
believe would benefit from this information such as colleagues in the same hospital department if they
are not already receiving TAGMail. NSW TAG may be contacted via email [email protected]

TAG ACTIVITIES
The NSW TAG Office will be closed from 23 December 2016. It will re-open on the 3 January 2017. We

**Research Pharmacist Grade 3 (2 positions) - Temporary Full Time (up to 06/01/2019)
- Professor Sarah Hilmer, Head of Department of Clinical Pharmacology at RNSH, is currently looking
for two research pharmacists to work full time over the next two years on a research project to
reduce inappropriate polypharmacy in older patients during hospital admission. The project will
investigate medication management for older hospitalised patients with and without dementia, and
will develop interventions to sustainably integrate medication review into their care. The position
responsibilities include project management, co-ordinating a large team of investigators and partners,
obtaining ethics and governance approval, collecting, analysing and reporting on research data.
Positions will be based at Royal North Shore Hospital and will involve work at six hospitals across
Northern Sydney and Sydney Local Health Districts.

** NSW Better Cardiac Care for Aboriginal People
- NSW Health has launched a series of short videos to help raise awareness of cardiovascular disease
and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment for Aboriginal people. The videos can be used to
support patient care, to screen in waiting rooms and at community events and to share on your
