Transcript
•The cytoplasm consists in the inner
region of the plasma membrane (and
also in the outer region of DNA.)
•It is a watery solution that
contains water, salt, organic
molecules, as well as enzymes which
help catalyze the reactions in the
cytoplasm.
cytoplasm
•Cytoplasm has three main functions, energy, storage, and
manufacturing.
•It contains other organelles which store and produce energy.
•The cytoplasm maintains the shape and consistency of the cell,
and provides suspension to the organelles.
•All of the functions for cell expansion, growth and replication
are carried out in the cytoplasm of a cell.
•The cytoplasm is made of components that benefit the cell and
keep the organelles separate from one another.
•This helps to keep the cell stable.
