Cell Analogy Poster Project


This will count as a test grade.
You may either work alone or with ONE other person (no more than two in a group – no exceptions)
Requirements:
 Choose a plant or animal cell
 You must choose at least eight of the 15 organelles we have discussed. Any past eight (neatly done) will
be considered extra credit. (If you choose a plant cell, three of your eight organelles must be a cell wall,
chloroplast and large vacuole)
 Label each organelle
 Have a picture of your “analogy” to the organelle. You can either draw this or cut it out of a magazine.
 Write the analogy next to the picture. The analogy must give the function of the cell organelle AS WELL
AS the function of the “object” you are using as an analogy.
Ex: The cell wall is like a bowl because it supports and protects the cell in the
same way the bowl protects the food in it.
This example gives the cell organelle’s function and the “objects” function.
Name(s):___________________________________________________
This must be turned in with your project. Please STAPLE on the TOP LEFT CORNER OF YOUR
POSTER! Highlight the organelles you completed for this project. I will use this as a rubric.
