AVAILABILITY
Available in all territory served by Sharyland Utilities for all domestic purposes in single
family or individually metered multi-family dwelling units used as a permanent residence,
subject to Sharyland Utilities’ established rules and regulations.
APPLICABILITY
Applicable to retail electric providers (REPs), electric cooperatives ("Coop") that have
opted in to offering retail choice, municipally-owned electric utilities ("Muni") that have opted in
to offering retail choice and aggregators providing electric service to consumers in Sharyland
Utilities' service territory. With regard to REPs and aggregators, these entities must be certified
by the PUC.
TYPE OF SERVICE
Single-phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages. Service may be three-phase if the
single-phase is inadequate for the purpose desired, and if prior approval is received from
Sharyland Utilities.

DETERMINATION OF BILLING DEMANDS
1. Transmission Demand: The monthly billing demand for the transmission charge shall
be based on the average demand established by the consumer at the time of the ERCOT peak
demand during each of the months from June through September for the preceding calendar year,
as such demands are determined by the ERCOT Independent System Operator ("ISO"). For new
consumers with no prior metered demand history, the billing demand for the transmission charge
shall be either estimated demands based on the demands for similar customers or as set forth in
the agreement for service. The total monthly billing demand shall be the sum of the individual
consumers' billing demands served by the REP, Coop, Muni or aggregator.
2. Distribution Demand: The monthly billing demand for the distribution charge
shall be based on the average of the four on-peak demands established by the consumer in each
of the months from June through September for the previous twelve month period ending with
the current billing month. The on-peak period as used in determining the consumer's on-peak
demand is from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during weekdays (excluding holidays) of the months of
June through September. For new consumers with no prior metered demand history, the billing
demand for the distribution charge shall be the highest monthly demand established by the
customer until the customer has received service during the four summer months. The total
monthly billing demand shall be the sum of the individual consumers' billing demands served by
the REP, Coop, Muni or aggregator.
TAXES
The customer shall pay any municipal franchise fee or any municipal sales, use, or other
tax now or hereafter applicable to the service rendered hereunder or imposed on Sharyland
Utilities as a result of such service; provided, however, that no such fee or tax shall be charged if
the consumer has furnished to Sharyland Utilities satisfactory evidence of exemption from
liability for such tax.

SYSTEM BENEFIT FUND CHARGE
The current System Benefit Fund ("SBF") charge, as periodically set by the Commission
for Sharyland Utilities, shall be applied to the kilowatt-hours ("kWh") used by the consumer
during the current billing month.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
Terms of payment, including any applicable late payment charge, are set forth in Section
_______ of the service rules and regulations section of Sharyland Utilities' tariff.

aggregator that is receiving transmission and distribution service from Sharyland Utilities for
purposes of delivering power and energy to end-use consumers within Sharyland Utilities'
service territory.

Sharlyland Utilities' service territory that is receiving bundled electric service from an REP,
Coop, Muni or aggregator.

AVAILABILITY
Available in all territory served by Sharyland Utilities to non-residential consumers, other
than for street lighting service, subject to the established rules and regulations of Sharyland
Utilities.

rated capacity in excess of ten (10) horsepower must be three-phase.

MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGE
The minimum monthly charge shall be the higher of the following:
1.
The sum of the applicable Metering and Billing Charge, the Transmission
Charge and the Distribution Charge.
2.
The minimum monthly charge specified in the contract for service.

POWER FACTOR ADJUSTMENT
The consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable. Metered
demands may be adjusted for any customer with 20 kW or more of metered demand. When the
consumer's power factor at the time of the metered maximum kilowatt demand is determined to
be less than ninety percent (90%), then the metered demand used for purposes of determining the
Billing Demands shall be adjusted by multiplying the metered maximum kilowatt demand by
ninety percent (90%) and dividing the product thus obtained by the actual power factor.
DELIVERY VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENT
If service is delivered at primary distribution voltage, and if the consumer owns, operates,
and maintains or leases all facilities beyond the primary voltage point of delivery, the above
Distribution Charge will be reduced by $1.37 per kW.
TAXES
The customer shall pay any municipal franchise fee or any municipal sales, use, or other
tax now or hereafter applicable to the service rendered hereunder or imposed on Sharyland
Utilities as a result of such service; provided, however, that no such fee or tax shall be charged if

Available for high pressure sodium lighting of public streets, highways, bridges, parks
and similar public places, for normal dusk to dawn operation.

opted in to offering retail choice, municipally-owned electric utilities ("Muni") that have opted in
to offering retail choice and aggregators providing electric service to customers in Sharyland
Utilities' service territory. With regard to REPs and aggregators, these entities must be certified
by the PUC.

SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The above charges include installation of standard Sharyland Utilities facilities
including lamps, fixtures or luminaries, brackets and ballasts. The above charges include normal
operation and maintenance. Normal operation and maintenance does not include periodic tree
trimming around the fixture or luminaire.
2. Where it is necessary to install ornamental poles or other special facilities or services
not in conformance with Sharyland Utilities standard practice, the additional cost shall be borne
by the consumer. Title to all facilities, except as noted below, shall vest in Sharyland Utilities.
3. All facilities used in providing street lighting service shall be and remain the property
of Sharyland Utilities and may be removed upon termination of service, except that poles, ducts,
conduits, manholes, and junction boxes shall be the property of and maintained by the customer
if they are an integral part of bridges, viaducts or similar structures, or highway projects
constructed by the joint participation of the customer and other governmental agencies.
4. The consumer agrees that the facilities installed under this rate shall not be removed
or converted, or the use thereof discontinued by the consumer, except upon payment to
Sharyland Utilities of the original investment of such facilities, less depreciation to the date of
discontinuance of such facilities, less salvage, plus the cost of removal.
