FILM & DRAMA
1. Best Television Drama (filmed and/or produced in the West of England)
Award for best scripted serial drama, one off special and returning drama series. Must be at least 60% shot in the
West of England region.
2. Best Film (theatrical release, filmed and/or produced in the West of England)
Award for the best film with a theatrical release • Drama • Animation • Documentary • Entertainment • Children’s •
Comedy. Must be at least 60% shot in the West of England.
3. On Screen Performance, (for a production filmed or produced in the West of England
region)
Outstanding performance by an actor. Entrants should be based in the West of England region or feature in West
of England produced content.

4. Best On Screen Talent
Award for outstanding on-screen talent featured in a production • Presenter • Journalist • Show Host • Interviewer •

5. New On Screen Talent
Award for exceptional promise in a production • Presenter • Journalist • Show Host • Interviewer • Commentator

6. Digital Creativity
Award for outstanding innovation and creativity in digital content broadcast on any platform or combination of
platforms • Websites • Interactive TV • Apps • Games • Viral & Social Media
NETWORK TELEVISION
7. Best Natural History Programme or Series
Award for excellence in the production of Natural History Programme or Series
8. Best Factual Programme or Series
Award for excellence in the production of Factual Programme or Series including Popular and Specialist Factual ;
Science • Religion • History • Adventure • Arts •
9. Best Documentary Programme or Series
Award for excellence in the production of Documentary Programme or Series for UK or International Broadcast.
10. Best Daytime and Early Peak Programme or Series
Award for excellence in the production of Daytime and Early Peak Programme or Series broadcast before 8pm.
11. Best Factual Entertainment Programme or Series
Award for excellence in the production of Features and Factual Entertainment Programme or Series including •
Lifestyle • Entertainment • Food and Drink
12.Best Children’s Programme or Series
Award for excellence in the production of Factual, Entertainment and Animation Programme or Series, produced
for the children’s audience and broadcast during children’s airtime.
13.Best Animation
Award for the best animated Programme or Series, broadcast on any platform.
14. Best Short
Award for the best Short Film (no more than 20 minutes in duration).
CRAFT
15. Best Director
Award for Best Director or Producer of a Programme or Series, across all genres.
16. Best Cinematography
Award for best camerawork and photography; including lighting camera or camera operation, across all genres.
17. Best Sound
Award for best use of sound including sound design, recording and dubbing, across all genres.
18. Best Composer
Award for best composition of original music, across all genres.
19. Best Graphics & Visual FX
Awarded for best visual effects, animation, CGI or content graphics.
20. Best Titles, Promos and Branding
Award for best opening title sequence, moving brand identity, interstitials, music promos, idents and trails
packages.
21. Best Editing
Award for best editing across all genres.
22. Best Grading
Award for best grading and picture enhancement, across all genres.
23. ‘Flying Futures’ Talent Award (Nominated by an employer)
This Award recognises outstanding emerging talent in any part of the behind-the-camera production process
including Research, Production Management, Producing, Development, across all genres (aimed at those with no
more than two years’ experience in television).
NEWS
24. Best Reporter
This award recognises strong investigative and reactive journalism.
25. Best News Coverage
An award for the best single programme or series of reports covering a news story.
