TED’s guide to what the CRM Data Specialist does round here
A new and exciting role to join Ted’s expanding CRM team. Reporting into the CRM manager, you will be
responsible for the architecture, maintenance, integrity and analysis of Ted’s global databases.
Not only will you analyze Ted’s data, you will also form part of the strategic team and work on large scale
projects that involve data movements, migrations and mapping.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to read data and use it in tangible context that is in keeping with
the brand identity.
Main Responsibilities

Analysis of Ted’s global database in support of business needs, both commercial and visionary

Day to day analysis will focus on:
o
Trade segmentation
o
Single view
o
LTV
o
Subscriber/customer behaviours & sequences
o
RFM

Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act

Support large scale projects (e.g. site platforms migrations/installations) by:
o
Writing database documentation and requirements
o
Project managing data movement in a secure manner
o
Ensuring full testing is carried out

Work with CRM Manager on global business strategies and projects, providing insight and
measures

Organise both the back-end architecture and business facing data

Monitor all data feeds & flows on a daily/weekly basis, ensuring data absorption is successful and
consistent in real-time across all platforms

Maintain daily operations for database and data warehouse

Manage relationships with IT, data warehouse and website developers

Enhance and expand Ted’s preference centre

Investigate and execute new data types to layer and profile over our customer

Manage quarterly data audit

With the CRM Manager continue to evolve and enhance Ted’s data platforms


Data Housekeeping, standards, procedures and activity will be met with a focus on:

Ensuring data architecture is formatted correctly
o
Data is mapped and verified to each market specifically
o
Ensuring all fields are aligned across all platforms
o
Source structure is refined and manageable
o
Security and integrity
Create and provide monthly updates on the data flow chart and data dictionary
Tools of the Trade:








Experience within a CRM department
Grave experience with ESP and BI tools – SQL literate a bonus
Thorough understanding of HTML
Proven track record of managing and migrating large data sets
Thorough understanding of the current Data Protection and Privacy Legislation
Project management experience
Experience with CMS & web analytical systems
Fluent with all Microsoft packages
