Views to New Database
About this Document
This document provides steps for users to follow to copy SQL Views from an old database to a new
database.
Procedures
•
Open SQL Enterprise Manager.
•
Select “Old” Database.
•
Select Views.
•
Click once on view to copy.
•
Hold Ctrl key, then select other views as needed.
•
Right-click on any of the views selected. Select All Tasks, then click Generate SQL Script.

Click OK when finished.

Name file, then click Save.
•
Open SQL Query Analyzer, select “New” database.
•
Click on File, then click Open. Browse to locate the file saved above and select it.
•
Click the Execute button on the toolbar. (Green arrow)
•
Views should now exist in the “New” database.
