The Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) is a leading research
institute in biological sciences funded by the Agency for Science, Technology
and Research (A*STAR). Its mission is to develop and foster a vibrant
research culture for cutting-edge basic biomedical sciences. IMCB’s research
activities focus on the areas of Animal Models of Development and Disease,
Cancer Genetics and Therapeutics, Cell Biology in Health and Disease, and
Structural Biology and Drug Discovery. IMCB is continuously looking out for
talented people to contribute to its success. We are now inviting suitable
candidates to apply for the following position:
Research Officer
Our laboratory specializes in conducting cutting-edge biomedical research in
the field of RNA biology. You will have the opportunity to be familiar with
molecular biology work, as well as genome-wide-level research such as
ribosome profiling and RNA-Seq.
Responsibilities:




Perform molecular biology research, especially RNA work
Perform bioinformatics analysis for genome-wide data
Provide technical support
Perform lab administrative tasks such as purchasing
Requirements :






Diploma or Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent
Highly motivated individual with an inquisitive mind
Able to work independently, is proactive with taking initiative
Strong organizational and communication skills
Prior experience in molecular biology and cell culture techniques
is preferred, but not essential
Familiarity with bioinformatics and programming would be an
asset
