Parts of the plant
The plant has 4 parts :
1. Root - holds the plant in the ground and absorbs water and nutrients from
the soil.
2. Stem - carries the water and nutrients to the rest of the plant. It also helps
support it and direct the leaves towards the sunlight for them to produce the
food source for the plant.
3. Leaves - make food for the plant ( !! 1 leaf – 2 leaves !! )
4. Flowers - make the seeds to make new flowers.
Let’s observe

observe. We are going to keep a chart to see how the plant grows.
Everyday, a member of the group will write :
a. If the plant has a lot of light or no light.
b. If the plant is hot or cold (with a thermometer).
c. If the plant has enough water or not.
I am in group ___________.
