1. General
The test is to be performed on completed module, part no 137731 / FMP 32.48.
137731 / FMP 32.48 has to be tested twice. First with the procedure, 033028, then with
033220.

 Part list : 137592, 139482 and 137731 (Mounted PCB’s and Module for FMP 32.48)
2. Functional Test
The automated test uses the “AUTO-TEST CABINET NO.4” (partnumber 139905).
2.1
Connections
The test box for 137731 / FMP 32.48 Automated version is connected to the
Power-One Auto-Test Cabinett.
2.2
Test
 Select the test program for 137731 / FMP 32.48, which should be supplied with test
limits as given in the test report for 137731 / FMP 32.48 at the end of the document.
 Stick serial number on the module, and write the serial number to the test program.
 Place module in test set and start test.
 Stick ‘final test’ label on the module side after passed test.

3. Fault-localizing
A manual test box might be used during fault-localizing. This chapter gives a short
description of how the different tests can be done manually.
3.1
Connections
The test set for Part no 137731 / FMP 32.48 is connected to the load and the instruments.
Instruments:
 Oscilloscope, 50MHz bandwidth, measuring 20 MHz.
 4 Voltmeters/ammeter, 4 ½ digits fluke 87 or eqv.
 2 Voltmeters, 3 ½ digits fluke 75 or eqv.
 4000VA isolating transformer
 4000VA variac (up to 300VAC)
 Variable effect resistance, down to 0.5Ω, up to 70A.
 1 power supply adjusted to 25V

3.2
Manual test
The manual test are performed as described in ch. 3.2.1- ch. 3.2.10 The test limits an
conditions are given in the test report at the end of the document.
3.2.1 No load
Measure the output voltage and output ripple at no load.
The highest ripple voltage measured is used in the test report.
3.2.2 Half load
Increase the load to 50% and measure the output voltage and ripple.
The highest ripple voltage measured is used in the test report.
3.2.3 Half load, Over voltage shutdown at input
Increase the input voltage until the unit turns off (No clacking in relay).
Measure the turn off voltage.
Decrease the input voltage until the unit start again (No clacking in relay).
Measure the turn on voltage. Set the input voltage back to 230V AC.
3.2.4 Full load
Increase the load to 100% and measure the output voltage and ripple.
The highest ripple voltage measured is used in the test report.

3.2.5 High/Low Output Voltage
Set the High output voltage and adjust output load to 100%. Measure the output voltage.
Set the Low output voltage with no load. Measure the output voltage.
3.2.6 Power Limitation
Set the output voltage to nominal and increase the output load until the output voltage has
dropped to a certain level. Measure the output power.
3.2.7 Current Limitation
Increase load until current limitation occurs. Measure the output current.
3.2.8 Short Circuit Current
Increase output load until output voltage has dropped to zero. (<1.0V)
3.2.9 Psophometric noise
Adjust input voltage and the output current. Measure the psophometric noise.
3.2.10 Current limitation input
Set the output voltage to nominal and reduce the input voltage. Adjust load and measure
the input current.
