Spelling Homework – Year 5 and Year 6
For homework this week, we would like you to select five words to learn.
Year 5 – use your personal spelling lists
Year 6 – use the Year 5/6 word list to pick words to challenge yourselves

If you are unsure of the meaning of the words, please look them up in a dictionary and
record a definition as part of your homework task.
Please use the strategies we have used as part of our spelling lesson that are explained
below:

You should practice each word at least 10 times and/or until you can remember the
spelling.
Please hand in your work so that your teacher can see how accurate you are spelling
your five chosen words.
